Glacier Way Cooperative Preschool is entirely run by the enrolled families, between volunteering in the classroom and parent jobs. Some parents and caregivers choose as their parent job to serve on our Board of Directors. These parents graciously volunteer their time to make sure that our school can administratively run smoothly.

President

The president provides the leadership and facilitation of all Board Meetings to take care of all things Glacier Way alongside the Board. They are the liaison between the Church leadership and Glacier Way Board/Families to ensure a great tenant/lessee relationship.  They also work closely with the Glacier Way teacher to ensure our students/ families needs are met. They are the main contact in working with the rest of the board to distribute specific work within all the roles and to ensure all things are managed and handled to keep Glacier Way running smoothly.

Secretary

The Glacier Way secretary manages the administrative flow of the board by creating meeting agendas, writing minutes, and organizing monthly meetings alongside the president. They are the primary liaison for families regarding parent classroom jobs, which includes setting up the assist calendar and updating job descriptions. Beyond internal organization, the secretary manages marketing efforts by monitoring social media, organizing class photo albums, and coordinating the summer playdate schedule.

Treasurer

The Glacier Way treasurer is responsible for overseeing the preschool’s financial operations, including managing budgets, tracking expenses, and ensuring proper financial reporting. They also ensure that Glacier Way’s funds are wisely invested and look for additional opportunities to help with Glacier Way’s funding (grants, fundraising, etc.)

Director & Teacher

The Glacier Way teacher and director is responsible for leading the daily classroom experience and shaping the school's curriculum. They work closely with the Board of Directors to orient new families, set the annual school calendar, and maintain the student handbook to ensure a high-quality educational environment. Beyond daily instruction, the director provides essential guidance to parent volunteers and oversees the administrative aspects of the preschool program to ensure it runs smoothly and effectively. The teacher is a non-voting member of the board.
